POSITION OVERVIEW

This role sits within the EMEA FP&A team and business partners the Commercial teams for the East markets, it would suit a newly qualified CIMA/ACCA who has proven FP&A skills, an analytical mindset and who is detail oriented and proactive.  The Senior Finance Analyst provides reporting, analysis and finance support to the Commercial teams to achieve the company’s objectives, through high quality reporting, insights and effective business partnering.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

 

Reporting & Business Partnering

  • Produce EMEA management reports on a monthly and quarterly basis (Excel, BPC & BI) for all brands, ensuring reports are continuously adapted to reflect changing needs of the business.
  • Prepare any necessary reclassification/accrual journals identified by the Commercial team and through own review, so that costs are fully and correctly accounted for by country and brand.
  • Prepare monthly reallocation of Concentrate volumes so that sales are reflected in markets where finished goods are sold out.
  • Generate and circulate transactional reports from SAP, reviewing lists for completeness and following up any queries so that the commercial teams are aligned with the costs reflected.
  • Responsible for updating and circulating the bi-weekly sales dashboard to SVP’s and explaining any rate movements.
  • Through collaboration with the Commercial team conduct in-depth analysis of commercial performance (NSV, COGS, GP, Trade Investment) to produce quarterly commentary for senior management and audit committee that explains variances to budget and PY.
  • Complete analysis of COGS to understand drivers of volume, mix and cost changes.
  • Ownership of preparing all quarterly trade investment recharges to bottlers for profit sharing markets/brands; identify and share with the bottler all costs to be recharged, provide any supporting documentation as requested, reach agreement to invoice, ensure invoices are raised and accurately accounted for in the P&L.
  • Responsible for quarterly Concentrate brand profit reconciliation process with bottlers; calculating Monster’s P&L, reviewing and challenging system P&L to ensure correctness, providing variance commentary, and aligning settlement with bottlers.
  • Ongoing process improvement and ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

 

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Input to developing templates to collate budget/forecast, developing reports and producing presentations that enable review by market and brand.
  • Conduct analytical review and consolidation of budget/forecasts, documenting key assumptions, providing guidance and support to the commercial teams, reviewing and challenging inputs.
  • Lead budget input into BPC for all commercial elements of the P&L for the East division and ensure output is aligned to expectations.

 

Other

  • Identify and action process improvement opportunities.
  • Support commercial/business development/finance teams with strategic projects/analysis.
  • Provide training/inductions as required on finance processes.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

 

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification
  • 0-2 years PQE

 

  • Confident Excel skills – Vlookup, Sum-ifs, Pivots
  • Previous use of SAP/BPC beneficial
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Attention to detail and willingness to perform data mining tasks
  • Demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
