The RCM will be responsible to manage the PR and comms program across the portfolio of brands in SA. With a solid understanding of the changing media landscape, an interest in digital trends and a creative eye for content, the ideal candidate will have a good network of established PR contacts with a desire to put them to work. The role will be applicable to the whole brand portfolio currently made of Monster, Power Play and Predator
Proactivity is key to success within the business and whilst the role will be part of the wider Southern African team, a self-starter approach will be key.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creation and execution of individual market and cross-market, multi-channel brand storytelling communications plans across owned and earned channels
- Delivery of compelling content (moving image and still image), articulate written press materials (external) and presentations (internal)
- Generating consistent organic PR outcome within SA media landscape using our assets (Athletes, Events, Ambassadors) across our brand portfolio
- Delivery of high quality content (moving and still imagery) and manage third party suppliers involved from a creative and operational pov – ensuring brand lifestyle or product marketing quality standards across portfolio
- Delivery of clear and tangible distribution plan across earned and owned channels to ensure quality brand exposure.
- Develop a media relations strategy, seeking relevant earned media placements in print, broadcast and online media.
- Coordinate all public relations activities for our Motor Sport, Action Sport, Music, Gaming and Rugby partnerships within SA.
- Play a pivotal role between the EMEA Central team and your local market, ensuring both are working together with clear communications planning.
- Establish a close working relationship with the Regional Digital Manager/Regional Marketing Manager, keeping the Marketing director informed of pertinent developments.
- Drafting of internal and external press releases
- Responsibility for internal communication with commercial team and bottler
- Overseeing and inputting around influencer program in the market

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
- Creative development, management and implementation of PR, social media, digital and integrated projects
- Conceptualizing and implementing editorial products, including storyline development, copywriting, managing editors and graphic designers, coordination with stakeholders
- Team player with collaborative approach at all time
- Solid communication (verbal and written) skills
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including management of complex projects with multiple stakeholders, time and budget management
- Experienced in managing PR and comms projects in a brand lifestyle environment
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven working experience with PR and content creation
- Proven track record designing and executing successful comms or digital campaigns
- Strong relationships with local media outlets (lifestyle, sports, music, gaming)
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
- Experience in content creation with strong network of filmmakers and photographers.
- BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline
